Penedès is one of Spain’s most famous wine regions, along with La Rioja and El Priorat. It is the home of Cava – the world’s most exported sparkling wine, produced in the traditional method (same as the French Champagne). During our Private Wine & Cava Tour to Penedes we will visit small traditional family-run wineries in Penedès so that you can find out how wine and Cava are made and taste some award-winning drinks. And a lunch in a traditional countryside tavern will give you a brilliant opportunity to try the best of Catalan cuisine.
Our Penedes Wine Tour can be done as either a half-day or a full-day tour.
Option 1: Half-Day Wine & Cava Tour to Penedes
Visit one family owned winery for detailed tour and great wine tasting on this half day trip from Barcelona. Let us know if you have any preferences regarding the type of winery (Sparkling Cava or still red/white wines) or in case you want to visit a particular cellar of your choice.

Option 2: Full-Day Wine & Cava Tour to Penedes
Spend an amazing day in the Catalonia’s most famous wine country. Visit two family owned wineries for detailed tours and wine tastings, enjoy great Catalan lunch in a traditional countryside restaurant.
TOUR DURATION: 8-9 hours
TOUR PRICE PER GROUP (guide and private minivan):
- 1-3 people: €590
- 4-6 people: €690
- 7-12 people: €990
Extra costs: Wine tasting (€25-30 per person at each winery); lunch around €30-€40 per person.
The tour is private, for you and your party only. The tour price is per group, not per person and includes a personal English-speaking guide, private transport (car or minivan) and local taxes. Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or any other point in Barcelona. No advance payment needed (except for the groups of 7 people and more), free cancellation anytime before the tour date. We know plans can change, and we’re OK with this. Just let us know as soon as possible if you decide to cancel a tour. You make the payment directly to a guide on the day of your tour.
