Wine Tasting in Catalonia — The Way Locals Do It

Barcelona Secrets specializes in private wine tours in Barcelona — just you and your group, an expert local wine guide, and a comfortable private vehicle with hotel pickup and drop-off. We work with a mix of small, family-run wineries, where you’ll usually meet the winemaker themselves, and well-known, cult-status producers — chosen around what you actually like, whether that’s more Cava, bolder reds, or a quieter cellar over a bigger name.

Plenty of wine tasting experiences around Barcelona are built on a fixed stop, a set pour, and a group of twenty strangers. Ours aren’t — you’ll have real time to ask questions instead of just sipping and moving on, and if something’s not clicking on the day, we’ll happily adjust the plan on the spot so you leave happy, not just on schedule.

📧[email protected] 📞 +34 664 861 414

Which private Barcelona wine tour should I choose — Penedès, Priorat, or Montserrat & Wine?

Choose Penedès if you’re short on time and love sparkling and white wines. Choose Priorat if wine is the main focus of your trip and you want serious, powerful red wines — it’s a full day due to the distance. Choose Montserrat & Wine if you want to combine a winery visit with an iconic natural and cultural site of Catalonia.

Are all your wine tours private?

Yes — every tour is 100% private. It’s just your group, your guide, and your own vehicle; you won’t be joined with other travelers. Some winery tours may include a very reduced number of other visitors, but never a crowd.

Are prices per person or per group?

Prices for our Barcelona wine tours are per group (covering the guide and private transport), not per person. Wine tasting and, in most cases, lunch are extra — exact costs are listed on each tour’s page, since they vary by region and winery choice.

Can the tours be customized?

Yes. All of our wine tours are fully private and can be adapted to your pace, interests, and preferences — whether that means more time at a winery, a different lunch option, or adjusting the itinerary.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking as early as you can, especially for travel between April and October when demand is highest. No advance payment is required for smaller groups.
