This quiet fishing village was discovered by a group of prominent Catalan artists in late 1890’s and became their favorite place, which rapidly transformed Sitges into a fashionable resort town for rich Barcelonans.

Located just a short driving distance (about 35 min) from central Barcelona, Sitges is an amazing place for a half day trip from the city. Walking down narrow whitewashed Medieval streets of the Old Town and along lovely sand beaches is a great Mediterranean experience, especially when followed by a seafood lunch in one of the local restaurants.
